How I Got Here

Although I spent most of my life on the East Coast, the draw to live close to the mountains became a reality when I moved to Colorado in 2008. Since then, I've applied some basic principles from business management and accounting to some of my outdoor passions such as rock climbing: perseverance, focus, attention to detail, and mindful action. Funny how related the two can be.

For over 25 years, Lizette Peña has been providing audit, accounting and consulting services for her clients. She has worked with a variety of industries and not for profit organizations.

Lizette is passionate about sustainable business practices and renewable energy; she is GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) G4-certified for sustainability reporting. She is licensed in both Colorado and Florida as a Certified Public Accountant. Lizette is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Colorado Society of CPAs.

She is the Past Board Chair for Intercambio Uniting Communities, a non-profit organization that improves immigrant lives through English education.
